PrepNow Tutor - Henry B.
Henry has been tutoring his entire academic and professional career at the high school and undergraduate levels. He has covered all topics of high school math, especially statistics. He earned an MBA and industrial engineering degree from Polytechnic University of Bucharest and an MST in mathematics education from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. He has also studied data science and analytics at the University of New Hampshire. In addition to tutoring, he teaches math at a high school in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Henry takes a dynamic, process-forward approach to teaching. “My philosophy is fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, promoting critical thinking skills, and emphasizing the practical application of mathematical concepts,” he shares. He pushes his students to go beyond rote memorization so they can feel confident applying new skills in different ways. By focusing on process over product, he aims to build lifelong learners. Additionally, his affable nature and sense of humor keep sessions light and energetic. “I am the funniest teacher alive…Not really,” he quips.
He’s proud to share that he was once awarded the teacher of the month. At the University of Cape Coast, his academic prowess earned him an excellence award and degree honors. He also won a scholarship to study in Bucharest. As a student, he played volleyball, table tennis, and soccer.
When he’s not cooking up lesson plans, he loves cooking savory dishes, watching and playing soccer, biking, traveling, and swimming.
