PrepNow Tutor - Antonio V.
Antonio received his AA from Broward College and his BS in physics (with a minor in computer science) from the University of Texas - San Antonio, where he also participated as an undergraduate researcher in computational physics. Throughout his career, Antonio has researched systems modeling and computational science with the Department of Energy and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Antonio started tutoring chemistry and mathematics in college as part of the Honors program. Since then, he has tutored computer programming, AP computer science principles, AP computer science, MATLAB, engineering, algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, AP physics, physical science, and more. “I love learning with my students, the act of discovery, and staying updated on the instructed subject,” Antonio says when asked why he loves tutoring. He describes his teaching style as being a facilitator with the priority of promoting self-learning, self-actualization, and critical thinking skills. "I think education is the key to success, and that an adequate education makes the difference in the student's life,” Antonio says.
In high school, Antonio participated and earned two First Place Awards in the World Languages District Academic Competition of Broward. In college, Antonio participated in the philosophy club as a leader. He is interested in research, literature, and tennis. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
