Fatima is an experienced math and science teacher who not only helps demystify tricky topics but also develops students' critical thinking skills. She is devoted to developing and implementing individualized learning plans so that each student has the support they need to tackle learning challenges. She has worked with both high schoolers and undergraduate students.
She holds a master's degree in manufacturing engineering from Hassan the Second University in Morocco. Upon moving to the US, she worked as a substitute teacher. In addition to tutoring, she teaches physics at a STEM high school. “Teaching is really rewarding—it is satisfying to see children progress academically,” she states.
Her teaching philosophy is pragmatic and approachable. “I incorporate fun into my lessons when possible—and while my easy-going style is suitable for my subjects and different grades, I am also able to adapt to the needs of the students,” she explains. Her straightforward approach helps students develop confidence in their own problem-solving skills; that way, they can grow to become more successful thinkers and innovators no matter their chosen field.
In college, she was an active member and team leader of a scientific research organization in Morocco that focused on environmental and social betterment. In her free time, she loves experimenting with different recipes in the kitchen and reading about self-development.
