PrepNow Tutor - Lukasz A.
An energetic and fun-loving tutor, Lukasz enjoys learning about the world. He holds three degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago: a BS in biochemistry; a BA in Hispanic studies; and an MPH. He also obtained an MD from the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Poland. Since earning his degrees, Lukasz has been working in the medical field in hospitals and private clinics.
Lukasz started tutoring in high school and continued tutoring throughout college and graduate school. “I love the ability to teach and show different perspectives, and I enjoy getting feedback that a student has successfully understood a concept or topic,” Lukasz says. Over the years, Lukasz has tutored students from elementary school through college across math, the sciences, humanities, and ACT/SAT prep.
“I believe in working with students on understanding their mistakes and learning to shift paradigms and thinking processes,” Lukasz says. “I believe that the best way to learn is to get a grasp of the material, find what ideas or concepts are still misunderstood, and work towards correcting those gaps.” Lukasz explains that all students can successfully apply themselves and become better learners with the right motivation and direction.
A former Division 1 athlete and an Elite 89 recipient by the NCAA in 2011, Lukasz participated in men's gymnastics at the high school and collegiate levels. He also swam and competed in diving at the high school level. He enjoys listening to podcasts, playing with his dogs, and reading up on current events. “I run a children's entertainment company, Clown Lulu and Lolo,” Lukasz shares.
