PrepNow Tutor - Adrianna F.

An organized tutor, Adrianna holds a BS from Clemson University in animal and veterinary sciences with minors in business administration and youth development; while in college, she was on the President’s List numerous times. Since graduating, Adrianna has taught horseback riding and worked at an equine rescue and an equine veterinary clinic.
Adrianna started tutoring in college, instructing her peers in chemistry and animal science. “My proudest moment as a teacher is when something finally clicks for the student and they're able to do something independently that they've never done before or didn't think they could do,” Adrianna says. She loves helping students to develop their own problem-solving skills. “I love helping students figure out the answers themselves, walking through the information that they know, and figuring out how that could apply to their current situation or problem.”
An excellent test prep tutor, Adrianna works with students to help them recognize patterns and develop techniques to aid their future success. “I love helping students understand difficult concepts and build their confidence,” Adrianna says. “I became a test prep tutor to empower students to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and reach their goals.” Adrianna’s teaching style is student-centered and she focuses on helping students identify their own strengths and weaknesses and develop problem-solving strategies to help them work through questions independently.
In high school, Adrianna practiced karate and horseback riding and participated in choir and the acapella group. In college, she continued to practice eventing in horseback riding.
Outside of work, Adrianna enjoys reading books, listening to music, and spending time with animals—horses, dogs, cats, and more. She loves traveling and planning. “I'm curious and love learning new fun things,” Adrianna says. “I'm open-minded and love learning about other people and their experiences.” Adrianna took the SAT test in seventh grade to get into a Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Summer Camp program, during which she lived on a boat for two weeks.
